Nancy and I became friends when we both lived in Palo Alto.  Then in PHS  we refriended. I spent our 20th reunion with her and her husband.  She had some major issues in her life and I truly miss her sparkle. She is in a serene place now.

Nancy and I were good friends in high school, and I admired her so much.  We had wonderful, long conversations; and Nancy never failed to teach me something new.  She had a worldly outlook, and I learned a lot being her friend.

Bob and I and Diana and Ken Ambrose went wine-tasting at the Honig Vineyard recently.  The vineyard is owed by the Honig family, and the president of the company is Nancy's son, Michael Honig.  When we mentioned that we were friends of Nancy from high school, the wine server went and got Michael from his office.  Michael came into the tasting room to greet us.  He was warm and gracious and took the time out of his busy day to have a long conversation with us.  His charming manner of speaking and presenting himself reminded me so much of Nancy.  Her eternal poise and intelligence were very evident in her son.  She would be so proud and happy of the person that he is.  I was proud and happy for her.  I feel lucky to have known her.
