My fondest memory of Ethel is our group trip to Disneyland in April (spring break) the year after it opened. We earned part of the money and her mother and Mrs. Taggert (a friend of hers) took us. I am not sure how many girls but at least 5 or 6. We had such fun! I remember riding the Matterhorn for the only time in my life. I was so scared! I love Disneyland but not the roller coasters. Ethel was a kind and funny person. She was a big part of my Jr. High and High School life. I will miss her.
I REMEMBER ETHEL AS A SWEETHEART WITH A SMILE AND FUN. I NEVER GOT TO KNOW HER WELL BUT ALWAYS FOUND HER TO BE THOUGHTFUL. IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH SHE STAYED THAT SAME WAY THROUGH HER IMPRESSIVE LIFE.
